Effie Church Celebrates 100 Birthday

Mrs. Effie Metzger Church celebrated her 100 birthday on December 29, 2006. Mrs. Church was honored by more than 100 family members and friends representing six generations. The Honorable Bob and Mrs. Benton, Mayor was present to make this a very special day.

Pictured with Mrs. Church: Daughter, Sallie Smith, Grand-daughter, Patricia Powell, Great-grand-daughter Lisa Barron, Great-great-grand-daughter, Ashley Barron, Great-great-great-grand-daughter, Tylah Barron, all were born in Florida. Mrs. Church lived in Fort Pierce for 90 years and her comment to our mayor was, "you helped me feel very special and loved."
