ST. LUCIE COUNTY YOUTH SOCCER SIGN-UP UNDERWAY

FORT PIERCE - Registration is underway for youth soccer leagues at Lakewood Park Regional Park and Lawnwood Regional Sports Complex.

Managed by St. Lucie County's Parks and Recreation Department, both soccer leagues are open to ages 4-14. The cost to participate in the 10-week season, which includes eight games, is $75 per child. There is a $5 discount for each additional child. The cost of registration includes a jersey, shorts and socks.

The Lakewood Park Regional Park soccer season is slated to begin Monday, Sept. 14. Practices will be held Mondays or Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m.; 6:30-7:30 p.m. or 7-8 p.m., depending on the age group. Games will be played Fridays at 6:30 or 7:30 p.m. For details on the Lakewood Park league call (772) 462-1456.

The Lawnwood Regional Sports Complex soccer season is scheduled to start Tuesday, Sept. 15. Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m.; 6:30-7:30 p.m. or 7-8 p.m., depending on the age group. Games will be played Saturdays at 10, 11 a.m. or noon.
