Every year I set out to make a fantastic Christmas dinner. I make a large grocery list, shop with care and plan the feast. I always have family over to share the dayand I aim to impress with my meal. Christmas arrives and all the presents are opened with glee by my two children, Nicholas and Blaec.
Afterwards, I find my way to the kitchen to start the special meal for the day. My hubby, Jim, gets the fun job of helping set up the new toys or taking them outside to try it out. I often watch from the window while I stuff the turkey or start to cut up the vegetables. It's a meal fit for a king when I am all done.
But I blinked.... and my kids are almost grown. Blaec is now 16 and Nicholas is 11. All the toys have given way to electronics and fashionable clothing. The bicycle lessons are all gone and have been replaced with a drivers licenses. There is nothing left to watch from my kitchen window. It all just passed by so quickly.
With only a handful of Christmas mornings during childhood left, I'd like to spend it with them for once. Enjoy the day with my boys and not stand in the kitchen for hours.I have high standards and the quality must be exceptional! If I was to leave my Christmas feast fit for a king in anyone's hands, it would be Publix. They're truly the best!
