NEW FLOTILLA COMMANDER IN FORT PIERCE

On January 5th, 2008 Todd Kagarise, Chief Warrant Officer of Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce, swore in Sebastian resident Gary Barth, as the Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander of Flotilla 58. This "Change of Watch" was held at Gator Trace Country Club. The "Change of Watch" is a formal ceremony that transfers responsibility and authority from one individual to another. Bob Clarke, of Port St. Lucie, was sworn in as the Vice Flotilla Commander.

The new Staff Officers of Flotilla 58 were sworn in by Janee Henderson, Division 5 Captain. They are as follows:

Communications: Henry Ward
Communications Services: Tabby Kergaravat
Finance: Debbie Hodges
Information Systems: Jason Cosme
Materials: Jenny Soto
Member Training: Jerry Henderson
Marine Safety/Environ: Todd Thuma
Program Visitor: Tom Butler
Operations: Janee Henderson
Public Affairs: Terry Barth
Publications: Gary Barth
Public Education: Stephanie Danforth
Personnel Services: Meg Gaunce
Secretary/Records: Connie Ryker
Vessel Examinations: Charles Zaidan

These Officers, along with the other members of Flotilla 58, donate countless hours per year helping the Coast Guard, as well as making our Boating community safer. From providing Boating Safety Courses, free Vessel Safety Checks, and Patrols on the water, these Auxiliarists provide a valuable service to the Treasure Coast.
