Brown Bag Lunch Topic: Nature of Hutchinson Island

FORTPIERCE - Everyone who visits the shores and coastal waters at the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park knows that the park provides an abundance of recreational opportunities. But, have you encountered the variety of animals and plants that call the park home? Join Park Ranger Ron King as he takes us on a "tour" of the ecosystems of HutchinsonIsland. His interpretive program will stir your curiosity and inspire you to want to visit that breathtakingly beautiful area of St. Lucie County. The program will be offered on Friday, August 10 th, 12 noon, at the Manatee Observation and EducationCenter. After the program, Ranger King and Ranger Meadows will be available to answer your questions about this unique ecosystem. Be sure to visit the Vanishing Mermaid Gift Shop for books and other items related to Florida's diverse plants and wildlife.
