Sheriff Crowder Hosts Town Hall Meeting

Sheriff Robert Crowder, Chair of the Shared Services Network Executive Roundtable, hosted a Town Hall Meeting at the Wolf High Technology Center at IRCC on April 23. Keynote speaker Kathleen Lenk, MPH, from the University of Minnesota traveled to Stuart to speak about environmental factors that impact underage alcohol use. Additional speakers included Robyn Vanover, Safe and Drug Free Schools Coordinator for the Martin County School District and Dr. Sara Pankaskie, SARG Coordinator (Substance Abuse Response Guide Grant). Over 150 educators, agency personnel, elected officials and concerned citizens attended the Town Hall meeting. Generous sponsors of the event included the United Way of Martin County, Children's Services Council of Martin County, Project Northland, MADD of Martin/St. Lucie County, Shared Services Network, Publix Supermarket Store #337 and Clark Advanced Learning Center Digital Media.
