Sharky's can stir up a feeding frenzy on North Beach
When LogOn feels the need to feed, this turtle visits Sharky's on North Beach in Fort Pierce.
After a long day of cruising in the surf at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park, I could feel my empty stomach begin to eat itself.
Fortunately, Sharky's provided a variety of foods for a fair price, such as pizzas, $9.95, sandwiches, $6.50, and burgers, $3.25.
As my dining companion and I crawled in the door, we found that our bulky shells made it difficult to make our way around the crowded restaurant.
We were able to find a seat at the bar next to a TV that was playing surf documentary of big-wave surfers in the Pacific Ocean.
The waitress came by and gave us menus, plus cups for our fountain drinks. Everything on the menu looked delicious, but the blackened grouper sandwich, $6.95, with a side of fries was my final decision.
My friend decided on a slice of cheese pizza, $1.50. I noticed numerous surfing pictures hanging on the walls as I examined the inside of the restaurant.
A few moments later our food came out and I could hear my stomach growling at me as the smell of the blackening seasoning hit my nostrils.
I chomped down on my sandwich like a shark in a feeding frenzy; it was terrific, and the fries were crunchy.
Sharky's offers free refills onfountain drinks, so I made sure I filled up as I headed out the door.
