North Hutchinson Island voters should beware and be aware.Frannie Hutchinson is up for reelection this Sept 5.Let me remind you that when it came to protecting our only piece of commercial property on North Beach, she voted in favor of a Condo developer; 1.More than 80 condominium units- (this is twice the number stipulated by law.) 2. Abandoned (gave to the developer) more than 1 acre of property.This land is now irretrievable and belongs to the developer.3.Approved only 10,000 sq. Ft of commercial property, which is lost in the maze of the condominium complex and the only parking would have to be shared with tenants.

These three resolutions have now been challenged by two different Florida State Agencies because they feel that the St. Lucie County Commission over stepped their authority. The developer has now had to go back to square one but is coming back for a second time with no changes. The St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Board has approved the plan but with the big limitation of only 50 fifty units as apposed to 80.Regardless, the developer will come back to The County Commissioners (Frannie Hutchinson) with an unchanged plan. Commissioner Doug Coward was the only Commissioner who realized the flaws and voted against this development the first time.

Be sure to look at her overall record and see if someone else might better serve our County. But however you decide, BE SURE TO VOTE!!Robert Tabor
