INDIANTOWN, Florida/March 12, 2008 - Five local restaurants have stepped forward to become Heroes for the American Red Cross and are urging residents to show their support for the Martin County Chapter by dining out more frequently. The participating restaurants are raising money for Red Cross in a variety of ways.

Chick-fil-A on US One in Stuart is donating 15% of all sales from March 17 through the 22 with a coupon that can be picked up at the Martin County Chapter on Kanner Highway or downloaded at www.martinredcross.org. There is no limit to the number of coupons that may be redeemed.

Manero's in Palm City will donate 10% of all sales on Wednesday during the Heroes for th American Red Cross campaign. The Red Cross days are March 19- 26- and April 2.

Dos Amigos is donating 20% of all sales on March 25 when diners mention they are supporting the American Red Cross.

Sonny's BBQ Restaurant is offering FREE dessert at all of its Treasure Coast locations when a donation of at least $5.00 is made to the Red Cross. Sonny's is also selling Hero Man squares.

Mulligan's is also selling Hero Man squares with proceeds going to the American Red Cross Martin County Chapter.

The Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign goal is to raise $100,000.00 throughout the Treasure Coast region. The Heroes Campaign runs for three weeks starting Monday, March 17 with a wrap up celebration scheduled for April 10 at the Indian River Community College Wolf High Technology Center in Stuart.
