GIRL SCOUTS NET OVER $50,000 FROM 6TH ANNUAL
SILENT AUCTION & LUNCHEON
--Most successful event to date for organization-
May 7, 2008-In its most successful event to date, Girl Scouts of Palm Glades Council netted $51,000 from their 6th Annual Silent Auction & Luncheon held on April 5 at the Kravis Center.
"We are thrilled with the incredible support from the community," said Denise Valz, CEO of the Girl Scouts. "The money raised from this event will go a long way in our efforts to provide a valuable leadership development experience for girls."
More than 250 attendees took part in the luncheon and silent auction, which featured vacation getaways, golf packages, priceless art, jewelry, and celebrity autographed items. Tiffany Kenney, WPBF TV 25 anchor served as Mistress of Ceremonies and guests listened to an inspiring keynote speech by local author Yvonne Mason.
Girl Scouts of Palm Glades Council serves more than 9,300 girls in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties.
