From New York Times: "The list of standard features on the base Aura, at $20,595 including shipping, is remarkable: antilock disc brakes; traction control; front-seat air bags; side-curtain air bags front and rear; tilt-and-telescope steering wheel; cruise control; power windows and mirrors; remote locking; and G.M.'s new 5-year, 100,000-mile warranty coverage for the powertrain (including roadside assistance).
Newsday.com: The new Aura loks like a winner - with the potential to give the sainted Toyota Camry and Honda Accord a run for their money.
From Autoweek: "We predict General Motors has a midsized hit on its hands with the Saturn AURA. The AURA will go head to head with midsized heavyweights Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. From the crisp, good-looking exterior to an interior many of our friends thought came from Accura, the handsome AURA is a GM car that has the goods to compete."
This is but one of many accolades that the all new Saturn AURA is receiving from the motoring press. Magazine after magazine is praising the new midsized AURA.
With a choice of two V6 engines, a 3.5L 224HP 4 speed automatic and a 3.6L 252HP 6 speed automatic with paddle shift, the AURA delivers good fuel economy with the 3.5L getting an EPA rating of 30MPG highway driving.
CNNMoney.com: " The AURA is about the same size as the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord, but it feels bigger inside from both the front and back seats.
It is also far more enjoyable to drive. The AURA's ride quality, performance and handling would seem to belong to a car costing at least $10,000 more. The AURA absorbs bumps like a sponge taking up spilled milk. At the same time, it holds the car's body under firm control in hard turns."
MotorWeek, PBS: "The midsized family sedan segment is a tough place to compete. Saturn is determined to carve out a piece of the midsized pie with its all-new AURA sedan. The Saturn AURA has a fresh look, substantial presence on the road, and allowed for ambitious driving.
On the pricing front, the AURA has an edge over both Camry and Accord.
Across the board, the Saturn AURA showed us it is indeed a very worthy opponent. A highly refined five seat four door that is ready and willing to entice consumers with all its many charms.
The Saturn AURA is the most impressive family sedan from General Motors in decades."
WashingtonPost.com: "Even in its base form, the front wheel drive AURA is a no-apologies car. It compares well with similarly equipped Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Volkswagen Passat sedans.
In the premium mid-sized segment, the upscale AURA XR gives the front wheel drive versions of the Audi A-4 and Volvo S60 sedans a very good run for the money.
Fit and finish are impeccable, all interior materials, including the front seat fabric, are first rate. Driver-seat comfort is excellent, as good as, if not better than, that of substantially more costly cars.
It is the first got-to-have, give-me-that-one sedan to come from Saturn."
MSN.com: "With the Saturn AURA, GM offers a legitimate contender in the ultracompetitive midsized sedan segment, and it deserves a hard look by anyone seriously shopping in this segment."
These are but a few of the rave reviews that are coming on a daily basis for the all new Saturn AURA sedan.
