Hi Iam so very happy that the Sons of Norway is having a festival Sunday I have Norweigen blood ,In my Family to .They migrated from Norway and settled in Minnesota in 1852 , Thor and Kari Omsrud ,Thors Great Grandmother was King Hellige [Holy] Olav, illegitimate Daughter Tarrand Monsdatter Sorum ,she Married one of the Kings favorite knights,They moved to Sweden when Sweden was ruled by Norway. THis is according to the writing of Jorgen Bergsrud his writing in his Slekthistorie of Hedalen 1540-1970 .I haveThis in black and white in my family Tree .He was my 5th Generation Grangfather. I still Have Family in Omsrud in Norway they still work the land.I have several stories of my grandparents and what they went thru after coming to the U.S.A .
