Parents, take heart! If you are concerned about the decline in civility, respect, and plain old good manners among our young generation, now there is help. I am a stay-at-home mom of two, I have just launched a child etiquette training program for children.
I am a Certified Children's Etiquette Trainer after completing a program with Etiquette Moms, a leading provider of etiquette education.
It seems that all we read about is a decline in respect and civility in society. To correct this problem, we need to start teaching kids early.
I have added a unique twist to etiquette training. Instead of the turn-of-the century approach to formal, staid, and boring etiquette training, I incorporate games, songs,and fun activities so children stay engaged and retain the information.
This is not your parent's etiquette class. Kids today demand a lot more when they learn new things. I try to make learning good manners and respect for others fun and exciting. The class moves quickly and everyone has fun getting involved!
My first class will be start on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 for ages 5-7 and 8-10. Children will learn about introducing themselves, saying "please" and "thank you,"
giving gifts, telephone manners, writing thank you cards, proper table manners and more! There is even a section on dealing with teasing and bullies, and staying safe when strangers call, approach, or visit.
