Garden Club Sends Kids To Camp

Jensen Beach Garden Club members Virginia Koch and Dotty Tazzetta look on as the Club's Treasurer, Linda Biagioni, gives Noel Trachtenberg, Chair of the Environmental Studies Council's Summer Camp Scholarship Program, their generous check for $1,000. While on the Environmental Studies Center's campus on May 7, the Garden Club members said 'hello' to Joey, the Center's resident alligator, and visited Rafael, the loggerhead sea turtle who returned that day from Sea World where he had been recuperating from a digestive disorder.The ladies also inspected the new Native Butterfly Garden which was designed and planted by students and which is due to officially open on May 17th.
