What could be more American than a car show with vehicles spanning the ages, hot dogs and a baseball game? Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers has partnered with Tradition Field for the second year in a row to bring an All American, automotive themed family event free to the public, Autopalooza.
Autopalooza, the Treasure Coasts biggest and most fun event is one of the very few car shows in Florida that will feature a large number classic cars and vintage vehicles next to the cars and trucks of today. Hundreds of beautiful classic cars, vintage vehicles, street rods and preserved military vehicles from all over south central Florida will be on display at the show. Also on display will be dozens of new car dealers from the Treasure Coast with their shiny brand new cars and trucks. One of the most unique vehicles on display will be the Oscar Meyer WienerMobile.
Autopalooza will also feature entertainment by popular DJ and car show aficionado Gweed, and sizzling' New Orleans style jazz with 'Bobby and the Blisters'. There will also be large activity filled area for the kids and a baseball game for the entire family. Anyone who comes to Autopalooza will receive free baseball tickets to the game that evening starting at 4 p.m.
It was the vision of Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers to give back to the community with an event that had something for everyone, that is family friendly, a lot of fun and is free! The event takes place Saturday April 12, 2008, car displays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Gweed's and his Gangsters DJ and Master of Ceremonies all day, Bobby and the Blisters noon - 3:30 p.m., car show awards 3:30 p.m., baseball game 4 p.m. And takes place at Tradition Field, Mets Stadium, 527 NW Peacock Blvd, St Lucie West.
