July 4-5 & 11-12:

Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano
Back by Popular Demand!

Pianist, vocalist, arranger, writer, and raconteur Eric Comstock is acknowledged to be one of the premier performers and preservers of the great American songbook. He has been described as "smart, funny and utterly delightful ... an ingenious musical wit," by Stephen Holden of The New York Times. With an enviable command of both pop and jazz repertoire, Mr. Comstock has created programs saluting songwriters such as Johnny Mercer, Billy Strayhorn, Jule Styne, Burton Lane, Charles DeForest, E.Y. Harburg and many others. Mr. Comstock headlined recently at the Allen Room, for Lincoln Center's American Songbook, in an evening saluting Charles Strouse, with Barbara Fasano and Mr. Strouse himself. Eric is the co-creator of three critically acclaimed shows which tour coast to coast: Our Sinatra, Made for the Movies: A Hollywood Songbook, and Singing Astaire. Mr. Comstock made his fourth Carnegie Hall appearance in May 2007 in a concert supporting New York Festival of Song. Other engagements include Rose Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Space, The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, Feinstein's at The Regency, Birdland, Iridium and the 92nd Street Y. His solo recordings include No One Knows, All Hart, and Young Man Of Manhattan. He also appears as a guest on Barbara Fasano's Harold Arlen CD Written In The Stars (Human Child Records) and with Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Marin Mazzie, Rebecca Luker, and Victoria Clark on PS Classics' Jule Styne In Hollywood.

Barbara Fasano, "a charismatic stylist who effectively channels the living spirits of the great über-divas Lena Horne and Barbra Streisand" (Will Friedwald, The New York Sun) is one of the nation's most stunning and soulful interpreters of American popular song. She swept the 2007 MAC Awards, winning in three categories: Outstanding Female Vocalist, Record of the Year, and Outstanding Vocal Duo (with Eric Comstock) and received her third Bistro Award for Outstanding Recording (" Written In The Stars," a Harold Arlen collection). Ms. Fasano's work has been praised in publications as diverse as JazzTimes and PLAYBILL. "She is not just a great Italian crooner, an heir to Sinatra for our time, but a jazz singer of the first rank," raves The New Republic'sDavid Hajdu. Ms. Fasano has headlined in nightclubs and concert halls across the country, including Carnegie Hall (Harold Arlen Centennial Concert) Birdland, the Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel, Jazz at Lincoln Center's Allen Room and Rose Hall, Café Sabarsky at Neue Galerie, Symphony Space, Metropolitan Room, Caramoor, Kerrytown Concert Hall in Ann Arbor, Cinegrill in Los Angeles, Kanbar Center in San Francisco, and Prince Music Theatre in Philadelphia. Ms. Fasano's sets typically run the gamut from Bruce Springsteen to Irving Berlin, reflecting her desire to expand the American songbook and include the music of her generation. Time Out New York calls her "one of the coolest singers in town."

Tickets are $100 per person for dinner and show, $50 for show only plus $15 minimum for food and beverage.
