Got Stuff? Raised $1000 for Molly's House
Contributed by: Louise Murtaugh on 8/5/2008

STUART, FL - Many organizations and individuals woke-up early on July 12th to participate in the largest community yard sale on the Treasure Coast. By 8 a.m. residents from the Treasure Coast were finding treasures from all the booths set up in the parking lot of Hometown News, Ft. Pierce. For Molly's House, this Yard Sale idea helped raise $1000 this summer to help continue our mission of "Keeping Families Together" during a medical crisis. Molly's House booth brought in over $250 and Hometown News presented Molly's House with a check for $770 that came from the sale of booth space.

Molly's House will use the funds to upgrade their website, www.mollyshouse.org. According to Louise Murtaugh, Executive Director for Molly's House, the website has not been updated since its inception in 2003. Since then, Molly's House has expanded their outreach programs to assisted living facilities, nursing homes and funeral homes. Our Tea and Tour program and our Memorial Brick Paver program needs to be included as well as our new outreach program "Virtual Visiting Hour©" that will begin at Martin Memorial Health System, North in September.

For more information on Molly's House, visit the website at www.mollyshouse.org or stop by and take a tour of "House" anytime.
