The Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) recently announced that Caela Hayek has been promoted to Operations Director.
Hayek previously served as the Volunteer Coordinator for LMC for the past two years. She will continue to manage the volunteer program until funds allow for expansion; and will be responsible for overseeing facilities management, event staff, the new facility leasing program and human resources.
"Due to the expansive growth and expansion LMC has experienced over the past year, the facility requires a full time manager to support the many events, operations and growing staff. Caela has done a remarkable job of managing the LMC volunteer program which includes over 200 volunteers and was an obvious choice for this important management role," said Nanette Lawrenson, Executive Director.
Hayek came to LMC from the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau sales department. Prior to that she was with TSI, Inc., a tradeshow management organization.
