Loggerhead Marinelife Center has announced that Kay Tennant will chair the fifth annual Turtlefest event.
This free family event will take place on Saturday, March 24 from noon until 4 pm at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach.
Turtlefest events include children's games and activities, barbecue, silent auction, a performance by Maltz Jupiter Theatre Youth Touring Company, a reading by
New York Times best-selling author Mary Alice Monroe, sea turtle observation and marine exhibits. New for the fifth anniversary is a souvenir commemorative poster of Jonah the loggerhead sea turtle which will be on sale during the event for only $15.
"Volunteering for Loggerhead Marinelife Center is my passion and being able to contribute my time and talents in chairing Turtlefest is just one of the many ways I enjoy giving back to the community," said Tennant who chairs her fifth Turtlefest.
Turtlefest is a free event. Proceeds from the silent auction, barbeque and poster sales will help to raise funds for the rehabilitation programs and overall programming costs at the center.
