The Jupiter-Tequesta-Hobe Sound Association of Realtors® announces their 17 th Annual Family Fishing Tournament May 31 st and June 1 st, 2008. This is a family fun event limited to 60 vessels. (Sorry, no commercial or charter vessels apply). Partial proceeds raised from this event will benefit Connor Moran Children's Cancer Foundation. Since 1993, Connor Moran has provided South Florida families who are facing the uncertainty of cancer with desperately needed services and support.

This years schedule of events include the Mandatory Captain's Party on May 30 th at Jonathan's Landing Marina Club from 6PM to 7PM, 2 days of fishing, May 31 st and June 1 st, and the Awards dinner at Abacoa Golf Club on June 1 st at 6:00PM.

Over $8,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded. The Grand Prize for the largest overall eligible fish will be $3,000, $1,500 for the second largest overall eligible fish and $750 for the third largest overall eligible fish. Plus, $500 for the largest Dolphin, Kingfish, Wahoo, Snapper and Grouper. (One prize per boat except if only one fish is caught in a species). A custom rod and plaque will be awarded to the largest fish caught by a Male and Female in the junior angler competition, for those 15 and under. All junior angler entrants receive a tackle box filled with hooks and lures. Additionally, there will be raffle prizes available throughout the tournament.

The cost is $200 per boat with 4 registered anglers before May 16 th and $225 after May 16 th, additional anglers are $50.00 each and dinner tickets are $25.00 each.
