Twilight Golf League at Abacoa

It's not too late to sign up for the Twilight Golf League. The league will play at the Abacoa Golf Club starting on Tuesday, May 6 and run 16 weeks, ending August 26. Play will begin at 4:30 p.m. and all teams will have rotating assigned tee times each week between 4:30 and 5:45 p.m.

Jay Osborne, an Abacoa resident with more than 30 years of experience running golf leagues will serve as the league's commissioner.

Cost each night is $25, which includes green fee and mandatory golf cart. There also is a one-time registration fee of $25 that reserves your spot and defrays some of the prizes and tournament expenses incurred at the end of our season.

The format will consist of 2-person teams. Each night, teams complete for 3 points - 2 points awarded for individual match play and 1 point awarded for team medal score.

Team roster, rules and handicap system will be issued at a captain's meeting prior to the first night of play.

At the end of our season, the League will hold an 18-hole scramble tournament that will include an award's ceremony, prizes, refreshments and lunch.

Don't delay in submitting your registration as enrollment is limited to 40 players. If you don't have a partner, enter anyway and you will be paired with another single of similar ability. There is no registration fee if you would just like to sub, but substitutes still need to register. Registration closes April 28.
