New Managing Director at Maltz Jupiter Theatre
Contributed by: Aimee Adler on 4/22/2008

Milton Maltz, chairman of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, on behalf of the board of directors, announced today that Tricia Trimble has been appointed Managing Director. Interim Managing Director Murray Green came out of retirement to oversee day to day operations while the board began a search to fill this important position.

"It gives me great pleasure to promote from within," said Mr. Maltz. "Tricia Trimble, Director of Development, threw her hat in the ring and came out the winner. Her experience and energy will take the theatre to the next level as we aspire toward creating one of America's leading theatrical institutions. The board and staff thank Murray Green for his contribution and although he returns to retirement we look forward to his wise ongoing counsel."

Trimble came to the theatre in 2005 as the Director of Development, where in her nearly 3 years in that position has exceeded all fundraising goals including raising 100% of funds needed to build the Conservatory of the Performing Arts, increased the revenue raised for the annual gala by over 300% and exceeded the $500,000 matching gift campaign by raising over $1.6 million dollars in one year. Prior to coming to the theatre Trimble has had 20 years experience in marketing, sales, and management at the Fortune 200 company WestPoint Pepperell and has held leadership roles in many community organizations.

In her capacity as Managing Director she will be responsible for all fiduciary responsibilities of the theatre including the operations of the 550-seat theatre, the Conservatory of the Performing Arts and all fundraising. Her primary goal for the 2008/2009 season is to begin a $10 million endowment fund so the theatre can prosper in perpetuity.

"I am honored to have the vote of confidence from the board to take on this important role to raise the funds to support the artistic genius and vision of our Artistic Director Andrew Kato," said Trimble. Trimble and Kato will have the dual responsibility of leading the management team of the 40 employees and hundreds of artists who grace the theatre stage.

"Having worked closely with Tricia over the past few years, I am thrilled to partner with her as co-leaders of the theatre, "said Kato. "She and I share the same values and work ethic and together, we look forward to making great things happen."

Murray Green will work on the transition with Tricia through May 31 st and will remain involved in the theatre as a volunteer and donor.
