As Rachel walks across the stage to receive her diploma, she will have earned an incredible total of 33 credits including 5 AP and 11 honors classes. Her GPA is an impressive 4.318 weighted. She plans to continue her education in the 3/2 dual degree program offered by Covenant College and Georgia Tech, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in music. She is a recipient of Biology, Music and Academic scholarships from Covenant and has been named a J. M. Rubin Scholar. She was also offered the full tuition Alden Pre-Engineering scholarship to attend Furman University. Academic achievements include the AP Scholar Award and a Recognition Award winner at the State Science and Engineering Fair for her project, "The Application of Trigonometry to Harmonic Intervals". Besides academics, Rachel has developed her musical talents in piano, oboe, and voice. She has been selected to 4 different Florida All-State music ensembles, including the prestigious Reading Chorus and the Small Schools Honors Band. She also serves as Vice President of the JCS chapter of the National Honor Society, played varsity volleyball, and is active in the vocal ensemble at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.
