Contributed by: Penny Sheltz on 3/12/2008

The Lighthouse Center for the Arts had an exhibition Wednesday evening March 12th called Talking Graphics by Jane Davis Doggett.
Mrs. Doggett received her MFA degree in 1956 from Yale School of Arts and Architecture in graphic design.
She explained to visitors and guests about Vector Imaging using geometrical points, lines, curves and polygons, which are based on mathematical equations to represent images in computer graphics and far superior to raster graphics which uses pixels.
Vectors provide more clarity and precision even when enlarged. Enlargements as big as billboards have sharp definition and color fidelity.

Mrs. Doggett is a Florida resident seving her fourth elected term as Commissioner of the Town of Jupiter Island. She serves on the Advisory Board fo the Nature Conservatory at Blowing Rocks, Jupiter Island and on the Executive Commiittee of the Jupiter Island Garden Club zone 8
