Hibel Museum of Art Free Concert

More than 200 people enjoyed a free concert by teenage singing sensation Jillian Jonas and guitarist James McCreavy at Hibel Museum of Art in Jupiter on Sunday, June 8. This was the final concert of the Promenade Concert Series for this season.
The audience was entertained with a variety of music from the 1930s to today, including Broadway, jazz, blues, country and pop. They performed 24 popular songs such as Route 66, Summertime, Birth of the Blues, Blue Moon, Misty, Georgia, Fly Me to the Moon, Crazy and Bye, Bye, Blackbird.

Jillian is an 18-year-old recent graduate of Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach. She is classically trained,and has had numerous performances throughout South Florida as a soloist and with bands and orchestras. Among them are the Kravis Center, P.B.County Convention Center, Mar-a-Lago, South Florida Fair, Eissey Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Sound Advice Amphitheatre, Mizner Park Amphitheatre, CityPlace, Clematis by Night and International Polo Club Palm Beach. The Palm Beach Pops selected her as one their "Florida Stars" for 2004-2005.

James McCreavy is an accomplished guitarist/composer who has performed over the years with many famed artists such as Perry Como, Trini Lopez and Boots Randolph. In just the past few months, he has played at parties with Vic Damone, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.
