The Sunday fundraiser was for Turtle River Montessori School, an independent private Montessori school with limited enrollment of approximately 250 students (preschool through elementary).Turtle River was founded in 1994 by a group of families intent on providing a better Montessori experience for their own children - one which was truer to the high standards of "whole education" originally developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Praised by parents, educators and community members as a school of distinction, Turtle River Montessori has grown into a vibrant community of children educated in authentic Montessori classrooms, guided by parents and teachers dedicated to maximizing each child's potential.. This approach encourages children to think and discover for themselves. It reaches beyond basic academic achievement to influence the whole child. At the Fundraiser, Glow Salon owner Donna Mondorff was giving facials, while Julie Markham gave micro-current skin tightening treatments that stimulates cells to fill in lines by producing more collagenand Christine Brand and Nerisa Martinez were giving massages.
