If you can't get enough of Irish entertainers, the week of November 5 through November 11th is for you. It's the grand opening of McCarthy's Restaurant & Pub, 187 Tequesta Drive in Tequesta with entertainment every night.
It starts at the 3 p.m. ribbon cutting on Monday, November 5th with a bag piper, some step dancers and well known Irish balladeer Noel Kingston at 7 p.m.; Tuesday is the irrepressible George Orr, better known as Hod Rod with his Tribute to Rod Stewart. All night,All Rod, starting at 8 p.m. Back to the Irish roots on Wednesday and Sunday at 7 p.m. when Echoes of Erin step into the spotlight to make you tap your toes and sing along. Padraig Keane and Joe Doherty bring out the fiddle for more Irish favorites on Thursday.
Noel is back on Friday and Saturday with a completely different format of songs.
It promises to be a week of frolicking favorite music for everyone presented by new owners Brendan Grace and Frank Gillespie. "We'll be bringing in more entertainment, but we've left the core of McCarthy's fame intact; their wonderful recipes in the kitchen," said Gillespie. "Of course, being from Ireland, we had to add some traditional favorites of our own."
McCarthy's is open every night for dinner at 5 p.m. The pub will be open Monday through Friday serving a pub grub luncheon menu from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. starting on Monday, November 5. For additional information phone (561)744-2383.
