Ashton Kunkle won the title of Miss Mideast making her eligible to participate in the Miss Indiana pageant, June 18-21 in Zionsville, Indiana. Her platform is Promoting Voting and she plays Khatchurian's "Toccata" on the piano for talent.She was Florida's 1st "Most Outstanding Teen, 2004".

Ashton is a 21 year old student at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana majoring in Politics and History. She will graduate a semester early in December. She is the daughter of Sandy and Joe Gozzo of Tequesta.
