LET'S GO JUPITER, LET'S GO.
Contributed by: KEDRIC BOSTIC SR on 8/17/2006

Once again Jupiter, Fl has given this old fella something to feel good about. Over the years I have felt the excitement of a great program made available to the youth of Jupiter. "JTAA", with its support of their youth, the parents and dedicated coaches of this community has risen to a level that should and could be a role model for other communities across the United States.
Jupiter is proud of their community as evident by the many successes enjoyed by all that participate with the JTAA families. How do I know this?
I have been priviliaged to have been there when the excitement of an event reached a fevered pitch. I have sit as a grandparent while yelling like a youngster. I have watched with agony when our team came close, but still swelled with pride knowing they were there. I have been blessed during one of the games to have had a wonderful conversation with a little fella named Austin, as he let me know that PaPa's go to heaven. So many times while being with family in Jupiter I have had the opportunity to meet many Moms and Dads that have readily accepted me as one of them, because of these Moms and Dads I have experienced great things being done in support of Jupiters youth.
Many times I have made the trip to Jupiter knowing full well that time would be spent watching basketball, baseball, football, swimming and track meets. I was like a kid going to have fun, excitement running high. I had these good times because of my son, his wife and my grandson. Like many grandparents, I became envolved because of my grandson. Little did I know that his parents dedication to his opportunities would be so instrumental toward his growth. I saw this same dedication in all the other parents drawn into the JTAA program. I was proud to be a part of this.
Why am I writing this at this time? Here I am, in Augusta, Ga. thinking how great it is that even though I could not be at the airport to greet my grandson upon his arrival home from Holland, or be at the Babe Ruth World Series yelling like a kid for Coach Bill and his kids, I can still keep up with the news coming out of Jupiter, via the Jupiter Journal and the YourHub.com web site. I get to read the articles and replys of the families, friends and youth that I have come to know over the years. It gives me a feeling of being part of the action. Most of all, it lets me once again feel proud of a community of interest that puts its youth above all else. "LETS GO JUPITER, LETS GO"
