Noted Local Philanthropist marks 80 th birthday with family, friends

Jerome Rappaport, a part-time Jupiter resident and the chairman of the Jerome Lyle Rappaport Charitable Foundation, recently celebrated his 80th birthday along with family and friends at Lylehaven, his farm in East Montpelier, Vt. Attending the party were 11 children of Jerome Rappaport and his wife Phyllis Rappaport, as well as 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In all, nearly 100 people were on hand to wish the noted philanthropist a happy birthday. The Jerome Lyle Rappaport Charitable Foundation, based in Boston, promotes emerging leaders in the fields of public policy, visual arts, and medical research.
