The
Hubble
Space Telescope was first scheduled for launch in 1986. But due the tragic loss of the shuttle Challenger in late January of that year, the launch was delayed four years. In April 1990, the Hubble telescope was lifted into orbit aboard the shuttle Discovery.
Since that date the Hubble has taken some of the most important photographs of heavenly bodies, in history.
Genesis Memorial Glass, Inc,
www.memorialsnglass.com
, a Jupiter based business has created a way for families to remember their loved ones who have chosen cremation.
Inspired by the images of the Hubble, each memorial eternally protects the cremated remains in their beautiful recreations of heavenly bodies.
Giving families a memorial choice, complimenting the traditional scattering of the ashes or disposition choice of final request.
"We wanted families to have a dignified and beautiful way to memorialize their loved ones" said Pamela Sjosten, President of Genesis Memorial Glass, Inc.
When their family faced cremation of a loved one, the single most important consideration was that their Mother had chosen to be scattered. "We were completely comfortable with her decision but, as the time grew shorter with her, we began to feel that we would be left with nothing. No place. No memorial. No final tribute to her well lived life"!
Knowing of a company who could create a glass egg memorial, using a small portion of the ashes in each memorial. They created their first memorials for their mother. Using less than a tsp. of ashes in each memorial for the 7 siblings and scattering the remainder of the ashes. "Mom was aware of our choice before passing and found comfort in the fact that a small part of her would remain with each of her children" said Ms. Sjosten.
Although, they were eventually pleased with the final memorials, the customer service received was much less that satisfactory.
"We loved the idea that families could have this option and felt that
we could not possibly be the only family that has faced this dilemma"
said Battle.
Searching the internet for companies that offered cremation memorials Sjosten and Battle, found that the options were limited. "There are companies who specialize in cremation however, no one offers a full line of products for families and pet owners, and no one compares in the level of fine art that we offer". "We wanted to take it to another level". Said Jo Anne Battle Vice President. "We wanted families to receive the best customer care, and we knew we could give it, because we had been in their shoes. We know what they expect and how they will be feeling".
Genesis Memorial Glass, Inc. is about healing. These gallery level memorials are like looking into heaven. Offering a full line of products that every family can afford, from pendants to in home tabletop memorials, fine jewelry, urns and eventually markers and monuments.
The TC Palm's Business journals recent article quoted Ron Shaw, a 25 year veteran of the funeral industry and director of the Veterans Cremation and Burial Society, as saying "that because of their pricing they should market directly to families". He also agreed that pet cremations are getting to be very popular and that there is great potential for expansion in that area.
Pet memorials, have always been offered through Genesis Memorial Glass, Inc.
The first memorial was for a kitty named Bubba.
Setting out to serve families the request for pet memorials quickly became an important division of the company. Offering designs that can incorporate the actual photo like images.
Genesis Memorial Glass, Inc., contracts 4 renowned, Florida based artist and works in cooperation with Jupiter Jewelry, on Indiantown Rd. Custom designs are welcome. Delivery ranges between 2 to 4 weeks, on most orders.

This is an amazing buisense. My dad has chosen when he dies to be cremated. Some of your glass resembles the galaxies and stars inwhich I'm in love with so this is something I would to and I love the idea, kutos to whom ever came up with it.
