Tracy Armstrong Promoted to Director of Telemetry
Jupiter Medical Center's Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Mary Bishop, RN, BSN, MSN, recently announced that Tracy Armstrong, RN, BSN, MBA has been promoted to Director of the Telemetry Unit effective April 6, 2008.
Armstrong, a Jupiter Medical Center employee for four years, has gained a thorough understanding of the needs of patients and their families in her previous role as Administrative Nursing Supervisor in the Nursing Administration Department. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and also earned a Master's degree in Business and Health Care Administration from Sacred Heart University, also in Connecticut.
"Tracy has served as Interim Director of Telemetry since the beginning of the year and has succeeded in achieving incredible results regarding overall patient and employee satisfaction," said Bishop. "She embodies all the qualities of leadership and compassion we were looking for in this position. I am so proud to have the opportunity to reward one of our dedicated nursing staff members who consistently demonstrates excellence."
A not-for-profit 283-bed community Medical Center consisting of 163 private acute care hospital beds and 120 long-term care beds, Jupiter Medical Center provides a broad range of services, with specialty concentrations in orthopaedics, long-term care, minimally invasive vascular procedures, cancer care and advanced diagnostics. Jupiter Medical Center is currently in the midst of a major, multi-year growth plan which includes an Emergency Department expansion and The Raso Education Center. The Medical Center has approximately 1,400 employees, 490 physicians and 700 volunteers.
