April 16, 2008 - Jupiter, FL - Jupiter Medical Center announced that Nancy Blaszkowski, BSN, MBA, CHC will be its new Director of Corporate Compliance, overseeing the organization's voluntary program that assures all rules of conduct meet applicable laws and regulations.
Jupiter Medical Center's Board of Trustees passed a resolution several years ago, laying the foundation for the development of a voluntary program. The Administration, in support of that commitment, implemented the Corporate Compliance Program. Primarily, the program serves to establish mechanisms for employees to raise concerns about compliance issues without fear of retaliation and provides a systematic way of identifying and addressing problems that may occur.
"Jupiter Medical Center is dedicated to doing the right thing for our patients, the community, our employees, volunteers, physicians and business partners," said Paul Dell Uomo, CEO. "I am confident that Nancy, with her experience and proven effectiveness in monitoring and ensuring organizational ethics, will be very effective in this new role."
Blaszkowski brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare ranging from bedside nursing, care planning, and auditing to compliance. She served as the Supervising Compliance Specialist for ProMedica Health System, an integrated healthcare delivery system based in Toledo, Ohio and most recently as the Hospital Compliance Officer for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Healthcare from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Lourdes College, in Sylvania, Ohio. She also earned a Certification in Healthcare Compliance and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
