National Nurses Week (May 6-12),
National Hospital Week & National Nursing Home Week (May 11-17)
Jupiter Medical Center's (JMC) nurses, staff, physicians and auxilians are dedicated to providing excellent patient care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their contributions are exemplary of the national theme for National Hospital Week, "Where Healing Happens Every Day."
Jupiter Medical Center is proud to celebrate its devoted staff in honor of this annual event, in conjunction with National Nurse's Week and National Nursing Home Week. Everyone will enjoy a campus celebration scheduled from May 12 through May 17 featuring fun activities daily such as a snow cone day, popcorn day, ice cream day and gift day. The grand finale of the week's festivities will be a picnic lunch, whereby managers will be cooking and serving up a feast. All of the activities will be centered on JMC's own theme - 'Expect Excellence!'
"It is truly the people who have earned Jupiter Medical Center its esteemed reputation as an organization that delivers high quality, compassionate care," said Paul Dell Uomo, CEO. "The nurses, staff, physicians and volunteers deserve to be honored not only during these special weeks, but every day throughout the year for their tireless dedication and commitment to the community."
In conjunction with this special time of year, an awards ceremony celebrating nursing excellence was hosted this week in honor of all JMC nurses who have achieved special certifications, furthered their education, newly licensed nurses, and nursing individual and team awards. Approximately 78 members of the nursing staff were recognized for their efforts to achieve nursing excellence.
