Contributed by: Lee Jones on 8/5/2008

Richard L. Cosnotti, former Senior Philanthropic Advisor and Interim Dean of the Office of Resource Development at Harvard Medical School, was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Jupiter Medical Center.
Cosnotti was recently approved by the Foundation Board and will oversee the not-for-profit Medical Center's fundraising initiatives to increase capacity and services for the rapidly expanding Jupiter community. Cosnotti will assume his duties August 4.
"Rick Cosnotti brings considerable experience and has the vision to take the Foundation to the next level of prominence and growth, allowing Jupiter Medical Center to remain the preeminent healthcare provider for our region. The Foundation Board has full confidence in Rick's ability to lead the organization to new heights," stated Peter O. Crisp, Chairman of the Foundation. In addition, the Board believes Cosnotti embodies the leadership qualities necessary to successfully represent the Foundation in the philanthropic community, locally and nationally.
"Our community has told us that it expects us to offer comprehensive healthcare services close to home, and that requires significant investment," said Paul Dell Uomo, President and Chief Executive Officer at Jupiter Medical Center. "Rick's strategic vision and years of experience working with corporations and individuals in support of Harvard Medical School and other leading institutions will guide our campaign and advance our strategic goal of becoming a top 100 hospital in the United States."
Prior to his service at Harvard Medical School, Cosnotti was Chief Development Officer of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, an internationally-recognized advanced research university in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. He also served as Director of Development of The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, New York City, and as Associate Vice President of Sacred Heart University.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to join with the leadership and management team at such a pivotal time in the history of Jupiter Medical Center. The opportunity for growth is tremendous. I look forward enthusiastically to the challenge of advancing Jupiter Medical Center to new heights and to continually improving the quality of care in my new community," said Cosnotti.
Cosnotti graduated from Brigham Young University and holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Princeton Theological Seminary. In addition, he has studied advanced management at Yale University, the College of William & Mary and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
