GET THE FACTS AND LEARN WHAT'S NEW IN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY;

DR. JEFFERSON VAUGHN OF JUPITER MEDICAL CENTER PRESENTS SEMINARS

VERO BEACH, Fla. -- People struggling with their weight and related health issues can learn about the latest procedures available in minimally invasive laparoscopic weight loss surgery at two free July seminars being presented by Dr. Jefferson Vaughan of JupiterMedicalCenter's Institute for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.

A leader in surgical weight loss procedures, Dr. Vaughn will educate and inform guests about the considerations in choosing to have weight loss surgery, and about various procedures, including gastric bypass, gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, and StompahyX . The seminars are 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13 at JupiterMedicalCenter, Meeting Room One, and Thursday, July 16 in Vero Beach at the Best Western, 8797 20 th Street. Space is limited and reservations can be made by calling 561 376-4557.

Every year, thousands of Americans die from complications that result from being severely overweight, and develop debilitating diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart failure, degenerating joints, urinary incontinence, vein diseases and leg ulcers that do not heal. While there is no 'cure' for morbid obesity, weight loss surgery can be a tool to help these individuals reach a goal weight.
