JUPITER MEDICAL CENTER PAVILION - TOP RATED AGAIN
Contributed by: Stacey Brandt - Jupiter Medical Center on 8/21/2009

Jupiter, FL (Aug. 21, 2009) - For the eighth consecutive year, the 120-bed Jupiter Medical Center Pavilion achieved a top quality "five-star" overall rating in Florida's online Nursing Home Guide, ranking it in the top 20 percent of facilities in its region.

Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) posts the guide on the Internet at the website address, www.fdhc.state.fl.us. The guide is updated quarterly, and displays the reviews and rates long-term care facilities throughout 11 regions in the state. The Pavilion is one of only 16 "five-star" rated nursing homes in Region 9, which includes 78 facilities in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. The state rating is based on many performance measures, including the quality of care, quality of life, and compliance history with a multitude of state and federal regulations. These ratings are a reliable resource for consumers to utilize when searching for a facility.

The Pavilion provides sub acute care to patients needing short-term rehabilitation and therapy services after leaving the hospital, and also cares for long-term care patients who make the Pavilion their permanent home.

"Earning this prestigious rating for the eighth year in a row symbolizes the consistency of excellence in care we provide," said Betsy Heartfield, Vice President and Administrator, Long Term Care and Rehab Services. "For more than 30 years, The Pavilion has been dedicated to providing quality care for the community, while also achieving the highest possible standards for our rehabilitation and skilled nursing patients."
