Regan Communications, which has offices in Jupiter, Florida, has been named by the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) as a 2007 Corporate Friend of Children. Led by George K. Regan Jr. Regan Communications has been instrumental in support of the work performed by Parents for Residential Reform at the Federation for Children with Special Needs and the Children's Holiday Gift Fund.
With the generous help of Regan Communications, Parents for Residential Reform has been able to provide age-appropriate gifts to youth in the care of the Massachusetts Department of Social Services each holiday season.
Nominated by Parents for Residential Reform at the Federation for Children with Special Needs, Regan Communications has used media connections and staff volunteerism to help change the perception of the child welfare system in its community and has advocated on behalf of children and families at the local, state, and regional levels.
"Regan Communications has demonstrated an outstanding track record of service to children and families all the while encouraging volunteerism among their staff," commented Linda Spears, CWLA vice-president for Communications and Development.

The award will be presented to Regan Communications on February 27, 2007 at a Dinner, to be held during CWLA's National Conference in Washington, DC. PNC Financial Services Group of Pittsburgh, PA will also receive a Corporate Friend of Children award. That same evening, the Freddie Mac Foundation and Corporation will receive this year's Corporate Advocate of the Year award.
Criteria used by CWLA in the selection of the awardees include: personnel and management policies that promote the well-being of its employees; giving and philanthropic activities that benefit children, youth, and families outside the family; corporate products that are not harmful to children and families or their physical and cultural environment; and a sustained pattern of national, state, or local activities that benefit children, families, and the community.
