Student Accepts Appointment to West Point

Jupiter High School senior, Patrick Brian O'Shaughnessy, has received appointments to the U.S. Military, Air Force and Merchant Marine Academies. After careful consideration, the seventeen year old Jupiter resident has decided to join the 'Long Gray Line' and become a member of West Point's Class of 2012. He plans to major in Arabic language and Middle Eastern culture. Upon graduating, he will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and serve in Military Intelligence.Patrick is the son of Brian and Kristen O'Shaughnessy of Jupiter.
