The Town of Jupiter has a
FREE course that will take you back to high school civics, without all of the homework!
Jupiter U is a series of moderated panel sessions, workshops and tours designed to provide residents with information about their community andlocal government.
The course is offered in partnership with FAU's Lifelong Learning Center, and explores the unique aspects of life in Jupiter. Using the Town's strategic plan as a framework, sessions explore what it means to have a responsive local government, be 'uniquely Jupiter', have a liveable community, desirable neighborhoods, improved mobility around town, and a strong local economy. Panelists consist of Jupiter Town Council members, Town staff, and guests from local agencies, organizations and companies.
Optional tours on Jupiter's history, its water utility plant, and its police department supplement your experience. And new this session is a workshop focused on navigating your homeowners' association in these tough economic times.
The
course is completely FREE, and customizable to your interests. Sign up for all sessions, or choose the ones that interest you most.
