Genesis Memorial Glass Announces Veterans Support Charity

Jupiter, Florida May 28, 2009- "Social Networking" opened the eyes of Genesis Memorial Glass as to the plight of American Veterans.Veterans are finding themselves in hopeless situations such as homelessness and drug addiction. Facing physical and emotional mountains. We are proud to establish our Veterans Support as a way to boost the efforts of established Veterans Charities especially in light of the recent cut backs in U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

We are currently sponsoring, Vetsville Cease Fire House, 291 NE 19th Ave. Boynton Beach, 33435 Florida 561.736.4325 or 561.533.5797. Founder Chris Noel, appeared in movies with Elvis Presley, and Steve Mc Queen, she became involved with the USO tours then continued her service to American Veterans by founding Vetsville Cease Fire House, where she provides shelter, food. clothing, employment counseling and companionship in a home environment.

We will continue supporting Veterans charities throughout America. Genesis artist Matt Sylvester, designed an American Flag inspired pendant series named "Honor" These designs can be worn as a pendant, created as a memorial, or given as a gift that honors the patriotism of any man or woman. Valued at $180.00 each. With each purchase of "Honor" a $60.00 donation directly benefits the sponsored charity. In conjunction, we are sponsoring a raffle to win the an Honor pendant. With each donation no matter the amount, the donating persons name is entered into the drawing. From now until the July 4, 2009, we are raising monies for Vetsville Cease Fire House, online through our web site MemorialsNglass.com, Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook, donations can also be made through any Wachovia branch (Genesis Veterans Charity Account) Wachovia customers should visit our web site to enter their name for the drawing. We will continue to aid many worth while Veterans charities after this event. We are reaching out to all communities across America and here in Florida.

Veterans deserve our thanks, and our support. How can we not help?

In a recent budget-cutting order, Gov. Jennifer Granholm and legislators slashed $1 million, or 25 percent, of funding for 11 groups that help veterans through a maze of paperwork and bureaucracy to get disability and pension benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The cut is forcing layoffs and likely will be carried over to the next budget, too.

"It's a travesty," said Daniel Crocker, Michigan service director for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, which had to eliminate four jobs. "The greatness of a nation will be judged by how it treats its veterans"

"It's really sad, I've been doing this for 17 years, I've had several shelters through Palm Beach County and this is the one I always wanted to keep," says Vetsville founder Chris Noel.
