Tom Rooney announced today that top GOP strategists Randy Enwright and Andy Palmer of the Enwright Consulting Group have joined his campaign team in the race for Florida's 16th Congressional District.
Randy Enwright has over 20 years of political experience and has been directing campaigns in Florida for the past 12 years. During the 2000 Presidential Election cycle, Randy was a general consultant to the Republican Party of Florida and a senior advisor to the George W. Bush Campaign in Florida. Since 2001 he has served as a senior advisor in Florida for the Republican National Committee. During that period he helped lead the Florida effort to re-elect President Bush and played a key role in implementing Republican voter contact programs in 2006.
Andy Palmer most recently served as the Executive Director of the Republican Party of Florida, where he oversaw a successful 2006 Election Cycle highlighted by the election of Governor Charlie Crist. Andy also served as the Republican National Committee's 72 Hour Director for Florida during the 2004 presidential election where he was responsible for coordinating statewide volunteer efforts to re-elect President Bush.
Tom Rooney served as a Captain in the U.S. Army as a JAG Officer, taught Constitutional and Military Law at the United States Military Academy at West Point, was the CEO of Home Safe, a Palm Beach shelter for abused children, and is running for the 16th Congressional District of Florida.
