The Carlisle Palm Beach Celebrated

National Assisted Living Week in

Grand Style

Lantana, Fla. - The Carlisle Palm Beach, a luxury retirement community celebrated the 15 th annual National Assisted Living Week (NALW), September 13-19, 2009, along with all of the other assisted living communities throughout the nation that deliver care in a loving manner that respects residents' preferences and maintains their independence. The Carlisle celebrated in grand style with a series of events that honored both its residents and employees.

"Traditions of the Heart" was this year's NALW theme. This very important week highlighted the crucial role assisted living residences play in helping our nation's seniors and people with disabilities enjoy a meaningful quality of life. Caregivers deliver loving care and services to approximately 1 million residents who live in an estimated 36,000-licensed assisted living and residential care facilities nationwide.

This special week kicked off Sunday, September 13, 2009, as The Carlisle celebrated National Grandparents Day with a very entertaining show by a cloggers dance troupe - who performed for residents and guests. Later that evening, residents enjoyed a dance in tribute of Grandparents Day with the Norm Green Trio at 7:30pm.

Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18, The Carlisle Palm Beach hosted activities celebrating National Assisted Living Week that kept everyone entertained. Events and activities included: "Remember When?," a chance for residents to reminisce about old family traditions and activities they participated in through the years; "Caregiver Appreciation Champagne Party" which is a way for residents to socialize with the wellness staff on a different level than they normally are able to...it is also a way to show thanks for all the wellness staff does at The Carlisle Palm Beach; Residents were also able to brag about their grandchildren in a special program entitled "Grandparents Brag"; and were entertained by the talented Dixieland Band called "The Southern Gents"; this action-packed week closed with a "Grand Finale Gala" which had residents , guests and staff socializing during Carlisle's happy hour to have one last celebration during National Assisted Living Week.

"Those who work in our assisted living residences see their care giving responsibility as a calling and have the highest respect for those for whom they care for on a daily basis...we are extremely grateful for all they do," said Kayda Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Senior Resource Group, LLC.
