The Jupiter Police Department will host our annual Junior Police Academy from June 16, 2008 through June 27, 2008. This is a two week summer program designed for children. Through classroom discussions, student activities and cadet handouts, the students will develop a deeper appreciation of law enforcement, while opening the door to better communication between officers and students. This is a complimentary program for students ages 9 through 12.
The academy will cover all aspects of law enforcement training and provide practical applications through the use of simulators and scenarios. The program is designed to introduce students to their local law enforcement personnel and provide a basic understanding of police work. Students will have the opportunity to learn about law enforcement through a series of classes instructed by Jupiter Police Officers.
