The Town of Jupiter Neighborhood Services Department has developed a special grant program to rehabilitate and improve the viability of Jupiter's commercial areas. The program offers "matching" grants of up to $5,000. A matching grant is one that requires recipients to match grant funds dollar-for-dollar with their own funds. There is a total of $20,000 in this current grant cycle to improve the appearance of your business.
Applications are due by July 14, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
Is your business eligible for a Commercial Grant? If yours is a storefront business in the Town of Jupiter, owner-occupied or leased, you are eligible. In the case of leased space, either the business owner or the property owner may apply, but the property owner must execute the grant agreement with the Town. All taxes must be current and the property must be in compliance with applicable Code provisions.
Only one grant will be awarded per street address, but collaborative projects are a high program priority. Where there is four or more business in one area, these businesses are encouraged to apply together with an improvement project for their combined storefronts.
