FORT PIERCE - In observance of Independence Day, St. Lucie County government offices, museums, libraries and facilities, including the landfill, will be closed on Friday, July 4.

However, the county-operated Fairwinds Golf Course and Savannas Recreation Area will remain open. The St. Lucie County Landfill will return to normal operating hours on Saturday, July 5.
