Charities for Children Donates Record Number of Toys This
Year to Local Charities and Non-Profits
February 7, 2008 -Jupiter, FL- This year was another record breaking year for toy deliveries and give-a-ways donated by Charities for Children of Jupiter, Florida.Charities for Children donates toys for Christmas each year to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office toy giveaway, Palm Beach County Head Start Program, Orchard View Elementary School, West Jupiter Tutorial, Children's Medical Services Hospital, Urban Leage of Palm Beach County, Prime Time, and many others. This year the group donated more than 10,000 toys to area non-profits, charities and schools.
"This year we donated more toys than ever before, and we didn't have as many donated to us to give out," said Rob Thomson, founder of the non-profit. But we made up for it by board members and volunteers donating toys and we ended buying we didn't have. So we are asking the public to remember us next December and donate toys."
"Our kids wouldn't have a Christmas if it weren't for Charities for Children, said Beverly Montgomery, area coordinator of the Palm Beach County Head Start program.This year, the program honored the years of service Charities for Charities has helped with toys for their Palm Beach County programs.
