The Koinonia Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Pauline M. L. Nadeau as Chief Operations Coordinator. Nadeau recently retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 25 years of service. Her most recent post was in Kigali, Rwanda where she worked at the United States Embassy as Operations Coordinator for the Defense Attaché's Office.
While stationed in Rwanda, Nadeau was involved with the successful implementation of the Department of Defense President's Emergency Plan for a $2.4 million AIDS Relief Program for the Rwanda Defense Forces (RDF). Because of her efforts, the RDF won the 2006 Spirit Award for being the best in the world. Nadeau also brokered the humanitarian assistance construction project of the Kigali Health Institute Polyclinic, a feat that many of her predecessors were unable to accomplish.
"We are pleased that Nadeau has joined the Koinonia Foundation," said Andrew Williams, President, Koinonia Foundation. "Her French-speaking abilities, Rwandan contacts, and know-how will be an asset," added Williams.
Nadeau will be accompanying the Koinonia Foundation to Rwanda in July 2008 to help with solar installations. "I am excited to be working for Rwanda again," said Nadeau. "I would like to see solar power installed in every school and clinic in Rwanda."
The Koinonia Foundation receives its funding through grants and private donations, of which 100 percent goes directly to projects. Administrative overhead for the Foundation is covered through a grant from the Williams Group I, L.L.C. The Koinonia Foundation was founded by Dale L. Williams, M.D., and remains a family foundation run by the Williams family. The family's goals are to expand the Koinonia Foundation across Africa and to continue to interact and cooperate with organizations in the United States and abroad.
The Koinonia Foundation is headquartered in Jensen Beach, Florida and Grand Rapids, Michigan. For additional information about the Koinonia Foundation, contact Andrew Williams, President, at
