The PTO Coalition of Jupiter shares ideas

Our Jupiter school system is very fortunate to have so many volunteers in our Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO/PTA). These parents volunteer their time, talent and energy to our schools and our children.
In order to simplify the decision making process of fundraising and coordinating volunteers, Kelly Sturmthal, as Jupiter Farms (JFCES) PTO President, decided to get the groups from different schools together to share ideas. The PTO Coalition was started in 2006, with Kelly Sturmthal (JFCES), April Vicker (JFCES), Michelle Murasko (Limestone Creek Elem.) and Nancy Wrieden (Jerry Thomas Elem.) meeting every few months to share ideas.
"We no longer had to "re-invent the wheel" since we were able to communicate with each other regarding any issue that we encountered at our respective schools," says Kelly Sturmthal.
Recently, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter elementary, middle and high school PTO/Volunteer representatives were asked to join the group. We had a representative from almost all of the invited schools. The PTO Coalition is meeting again on Wednesday, August 20th at 9 AM at First Watch Restaurant in Chasewood Plaza. If you are involved in your school's PTO/PTA, please join us.
