The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC), partnering with Roger Dean Stadium, announces the return of the Dog Days of Summer for the 2009 Minor League Baseball season.
One Saturday each month between April and August, the stadium will welcome all dogs as a salute to man's best friend. A Pooch Pass costs $5 and allows one canine admission to all five games.
Dates for the event are:
- May 23 at 6:05 p.m. - Palm Beach Cardinals vs. Jupiter Hammerheads
- June 27 at 6:05 p.m. - Jupiter Hammerheads vs. Clearwater Threshers
- July 25 at 6:05 p.m. - Jupiter Hammerheads vs. Lakeland Flying Tigers
- August 22 at 6:05 p.m. - Jupiter Hammerheads vs. Palm Beach Cardinals
During the games, the HSTC will be selling $20 raffle tickets for the chance to win a brand new Harley Davidson. This 2009 Sportster 883 Low, courtesy of Treasure Coast Harley Davidson, is valued at $8,000. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold, and the drawing will take place October 24, 2009 at the HSTC's annual Mutt March in Stuart.
All proceeds from Dog Days of Summer and the Harley Davidson raffle will benefit the HSTC. For more information, visit www.hstc1.org, or contact Roger Dean Stadium at 561-775-1818.
Since 1955, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, located at 4100 SW Leighton Farm Avenue in Palm City, has been the leading advocate for animal welfare in the Martin County area. A 501©3 private, nonprofit organization, the Humane Society relies on donations to support its programs and services. As a local Humane Society, HSTC is independently run from any national welfare or humane organization with no financial assistance from these groups. For more information, visit www.hstc1.org or call 772-223-8822.
